Stephen R. Buell was born in September of 1978. He now resides in Sacramento, California, where he publishes comics and graphic novels under his Lost in the Dark Press banner. Lost in the Dark was established in 2004 with the 5-issue mini-series Video, and continued with the 2006 graphic novel Fragile Prophet, which earned Buell and collaborator Jeff Davidson high praise from around the comics press blogosphere. Fragile Prophet was named the best indie comic of that year by Ain’t It Cool News.
